Tuesday started off with some confusion. I feel asleep fairly easily, but I needed my alarm to wake at 0500, and easily made the 0651 (must have been efficient). Beautiful, dry June morning. So, of course, when I got to the station, it was posted as delayed. I bought the ticket, and by then it was listed as 15 minutes late (a huge improvement over delayed). Then, around 0640, they announced an unreserved train to DC (which must have been more than half an hour late) was leaving, so we all rushed down to it, but they held it, and by 0650, our Metroliner showed up, and the conductor on the PA system asked us to switch back. All in all, we only left around 10 minutes late, but were fifteen minutes late to DC. But, even with the up and down, switching trains, etc., it could have been much worse. Consider how bad a comparable experience flying would have been. Checked into my usual Grand Hyatt with no issues.
