Made it to DC. Amtrak will not be shut down just yet. Steamy, even early this morning in Phila, and no improvement in DC, but the heat blast can be a reprieve from the air conditioning (too cold in the morning, but fine-tuned by afternoon). I checked into my usual Grand Hyatt with no issues, but I was rebuffed in my request to substitute the WP for the McPaper, which is bringing back the serial.
