Made it to Tampa.
I left early for the airport, remembering the long line at security when I flew to London two weeks ago. This time, there was no line, so I dashed for a 2:10 flight and was the last person they let aboard. As I settled into my aisle seat near the back of the 757, a guy with a window seat with miles of legroom before the bulkhead wanted to change because he did not like staring at the bulkhead a mere six feet away. The middle seat was empty, so this was about as good as it gets in coach. Since I fly so seldom now, I no longer have piles of upgrade coupons. And I did not have to wait for my 3:40 flight. Got plenty done on the plane with no pesky offers of champagne to distract me. Checked into the Hyatt with no issues. Sunshine through my window over Tampa Bay almost TOO brilliant. A bit cool for the hot tub, but not for a nice walk in shirtsleeves. After e-mail, of course.
