Marco's blog An [almost] daily rant

Last night, after my favourite call of the day, as the sun set over Tampa Bay outside my window, I cleaned up my work e-mail (including warnings about not talking to the media in general, and Wall Street Analysts in particular). This communication does not constitute an offer of any securities for sale.

Then caught a co-worker driving home (I had tried to call her in the office as soon as I checked my voicemail immediately upon landing and had missed her).

Then indulged myself with room service and Fraiser.
Caesar Salad, Grouper (one of my Florida staples) with gently steamed string beans and carrots and a baked potato, rustic-style bread, and a glass of Merlot.
Asleep by 10:00 and I slept soundly until after 0500.
Just before 0700, I called the meeting organiser, an early riser, because I did not want to show up and be locked out.
When he returned my call around 0700, I went down to get a cab.
The bellboy called one, but after 15 minutes of waiting (I am not always good at waiting), I took the 0730 shuttle to the airport and took a cab from there.
All in all, it took half an hour to go about two miles as the crow flies.
And I could have shown up early, as the meeting organiser had left card keys with the front desk security.
