Maybe France belongs not in the Alliance of Weasels after all. France now has an estimated $4 billion in debts owed to it by Iraq as a result of arms sales and infrastructure construction projects. It would be a start if the future Iraqi government repudiates those debts.

Last year Craig Wilson decided, after a day at Johns Hopkins, that he "was the dumbest of all humans compared with today's college student." What he did not know was that all the throats were hoping that he would matriculate, so they will look better against the curve.

It is a shame it was too snowy and chilly, because we missed the season opener, as the Blue Jays beat Princeton. The Sun had ranked Princeton number one, but Johns Hopkins held on to their early lead for a 10-8 victory. With this victory, the Johns Hopkins men's lacrosse team ascended to the number one ranking in this week's STX/USILA National Rankings. Still, it is only March, and May is a long way off.
